I.njection systems with piezoelectric injectors require specific diagnostic methods that are appropriate for their technicality. This flow and return pressure testing kit is an essential tool for any work on these systems to establish precisely faults linked to injectors and optimise diagnosis.
In order to test the flow and return pressure of piezoelectric injectors, this set includes two pressure gauges and the specific couplings to connect to the injector's return circuit for diagnosis of the following systems:
- Bosch, VDO/Siemens: pressure gauge pressure range from -1 to +15bar
- Delphi: pressure gauge pressure range from -1 to +3bar

.Principle of diagnosis after connecting the device:
.The engine doesn't start
- Turn the starter briefly several times so that the control unit fills with fuel
- Turn the starter for about 10 seconds and, at the same time, read the pressure or vacuum on vacuum gauge
- Compare the value in effect to the theorical value (theorical value = manufacturer's indications)
.The engine starts
.Start the engine and keep running in neutral until the transparent part is totally full of fuel
- Read the pressure or vacuum on vacuum gauge
- The transparent part allows to detect air presence in the circuit
